Bloody Scotland

Originally created for the annual International Crime Writing Festival of the same name, this cocktail has gone on to become our go-to crowd pleaser at events across the country. A classic ‘gin sour’ at heart, enjoy our bloody twist.


25ml Stirling Gin

25ml Blood Orange Syrup

25ml Cranberry Juice

25ml Lime Juice

Soda Water


Orange Peel


Pour gin, blood orange syrup, cranberry juice and lime juice into a highball glass filled with ice and then top with soda. Stir gently with a bar spoon and garnish with a handful of cranberries and a twirl of orange peel. 

*For the Blood Orange Syrup* – Add 700g sugar to a saucepan and dissolve in 700ml blood orange juice. Do not allow to boil.
