The Scottish Gin Awards

The Scottish Gin Awards

IT was an evening of glitz and glamour for Stirling Gin at the Scottish Gin Awards last night in the Glasgow Hilton but sadly it proved to be a case of so near and yet so far!

We were delighted to be nominated in three categories of the inaugural Scottish Gin Awards, making the final of the blue ribbon London Dry Gin of the Year, Growth Business of the Year and Scottish Gin Event of the Year.

Yet as co-owner June McCann revealed the black-tie event which was hosted by BBC Scotland’s Catriona Shearer and Capital FM DJ Des Clarke proved to be a memorable evening.

June said: “I think with Stirling Gin only having been in existence for two years, for both myself and Cameron (McCann), to make the final in three classifications was both a really pleasant surprise and something we were both proud of. It also proved to be a really enjoyable evening.

“But I’d just like to take the opportunity to congratulate all the winners.  The evening also gave us the chance to mix with a lot of really nice people who are involved in the Scottish Gin scene and make a lot of valuable contacts as we seek to grow Stirling Gin”

“We are also delighted to announce that the majority of our Gin friend winners and nominees will be joining us at our Stirling Gin Festival on November 3 & 4!”

Next up for Stirling Gin are the prestigious Forth Valley Chamber of Commerce Business Awards Finals, in which we have been nominated in the Best Start-Up Business, Best Micro Business and Forth Valley’s Favourite Business, categories.
