Stirling Gin and Bagpipes Galore at The Bridge of Allan Highland Games

Windy…….emmm just a bit! Noisy…….emmm just a bit!

It really was Bagpipes Galore at The Bridge of Allan Highland Games. Over 40 pipe bands from all over Scotland and around the world played and practiced round the games field all day. We understood later why so many of our customers had earplugs  in!

The winds peaked and at times we envisaged a modern take on Mary Poppins as The Stirling Gin Gazebo protested in the gales, but she held her ground unlike many of our neighbours.

For Stirling Gin it was as local as it gets. All the visitors to our stand loved hearing how Stirling Gin was created just up the hill from where they stood and tasted it, and  the fact that the location of the nettles being foraged was within eye shot.

Overall a great day with lots of sales to happy gin fans 🙂 and an intact gazebo at the end of the day!
